Ingredients of Dhaba-Style Fish Curry
- 500 Gram Fish (Rohu, Trout, Asian Carp)
- 1 tbsp Besan
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
- 2 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 Clove Ginger (chopped)
- 100 gram Chopped onions
- 200 gram Chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Water
- 3/4 tsp Cumin powder
- 2 Green Chillies (chopped)
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
How to make fish curry
Take a large bowl and add besan, Turmeric powder, red chilli powder, Cumin powder, and other masala and mix well. Add fish to it for marination and keep aside for at least 30 to 45 minutes.
Add tomatoes, onion, garlic, and ginger into a grinder and make a smooth paste.
Heat oil into a pan and add marinated fish pieces for shallow frying. Fry each side till slightly browned.
Now heat oil again in a deep pan or Kadai. Add mustard seeds to it, when they splutter, add the chopped green chillies. Add tomato paste mix well and cook on high flame till it leaves oils.
Add fish pieces and water. cover it and cook for 15 minutes on low heat. Now add roasted Kasuri methi.
your fish curry is ready to serve.
